Pet Wash Numbers Every Breeder Should Know

Four numbers explain why bath day keeps eating your weekends.

4–6 weeksHow often a dog needs a bath, per the AKC. For a twelve-animal program that is a full bath day about every month.
$60Average price of one professional groom in the US, ranging $30–90 by size and coat (Dogster industry data). Send twelve animals out and the day costs $720.
95 millionUS households that own a pet — 71.6% of all homes (APPA, 2026). Your buyer pool is still growing.
$158BUS pet spending in 2025, heading for $165B in 2026 (APPA). Buyers pay for animals raised well, and they can tell.

Numbers are US market data. Tell us your country and animal count and we will run the same math for you.

Why a Pet Wash Machine Fits a Breeding Program

Presentation is your product. Baths are how it ships.

Viewing-day presentation

Buyers decide with their eyes and nose. Every animal bathed the morning of a viewing, without wrecking your morning.

First impressions, scaled

Litter-to-litter hygiene

The disinfected cabin means bath day never becomes transmission day — critical with young immune systems in the building.

4-min cycle between animals

Your hands, spared

Twelve animals hand-washed is a repetitive-strain weekend. Twelve machine cycles is loading, unloading, and a podcast — at roughly $0.45–3.50 in water, power, and shampoo per wash.

30 min each, unattended

Early socialization to grooming

Puppies and kittens that grow up with calm, warm, quiet baths become adults their owners can actually wash. Buyers notice.

A selling point in itself

Cat Safety Inside the Pet Wash Machine — Every Guard, Named

The door cannot stay shut on an animal in trouble. Every guard is named below, so you can judge them yourself.

The cabin watches for life

Millimeter-wave radar and infrared sensors track the animal for the whole cycle. If they stop reading a living body, the door unlocks by itself.

Unlocks after 30 seconds

Heat has a hard stop

Water holds at 38 °C, plus or minus 2 °C, under PID control. A show coat never meets the cooked-dry heat of a hot force dryer.

NTC sensor cuts power at 42 °C

Quiet drying keeps cats calm

Noise is the other thing that frightens cats. Drying stays at or under 65 dB, where rival machines often run past 100 dB.

≤65 dB, not 100 dB

No perfume, no essential oils

We never built a scent sprayer, because those oils damage a cat's liver and kidneys. The gentle shampoo leaves a light fresh scent on its own.

Zero scent sprayers, by design

You can stop it yourself

A physical emergency-stop button sits on the panel, on the panel. The sealed cabin still circulates fresh air, and you watch through the window.

Physical emergency stop

An alert reaches your phone

If anything runs abnormal, the machine pushes an alert to you. Nobody has to stand at the panel to catch a problem.

Bath Day Math: Hand-Washing vs a Pet Wash Machine

One bath day for twelve animals is the unit that matters. Here is what it costs each way.

Animals in this example12 — one bath day in a working program
Machine time per animalAbout 30 minutes, wash and dry. The cycle runs unattended, so your hands only load and unload.
Send them to a groomer instead$720 for the day. The US average groom is $60, range $30–90 (Dogster industry data).
Run them through the machine$5.40–$42 for the day. Operating cost is $0.45–$3.50 per wash in water, power, and shampoo.
Water and power per wash2–2.5 kWh and 0.09–0.11 m³. The PetWash Mini sits at the low end, about 2 kWh and 0.09 m³.
Bath days in a year9 to 13. Dogs need a bath every 4–6 weeks (AKC).
Groomer bill over a year$6,480–$9,360 for those same twelve animals.
Machine running cost over a year$49–$546 for those same twelve animals.
Between every animalA 4-minute ozone or anion, infrared, and UV-C cycle runs automatically and kills 99.9% of germs. Hair and waste water are collected inside.
Animal count

Twelve is only an example. A cattery with thirty cats and a viewing queue reaches the same answer much faster.

Coat and size

Long coats and big dogs cost more at a salon and take far longer by hand. They cost the machine the same 30-minute cycle.

Show and viewing weeks

Salon slots disappear before shows and holidays. A machine in your own building has no booking calendar.

Your own products

The dosing system takes your shampoo and conditioner, so a coat routine you already trust does not have to change.

What a Pet Wash Machine Needs in Your Kennel or Cattery

Most breeding facilities already have everything on the left. Check it before you order, not after.

What the room has to provide

  • Power: 220–240 V or 110–120 V, whichever your country uses. Tell us the country when you ask for the quote.
  • Draw by model: PetWash Mini is 1870W and runs on a normal wall socket. PetWash Tub is 3200W daily, 4000W during a bath. PetWash Max is 4300W.
  • Water pressure: 0.1–0.5 MPa on the supply line. Ordinary household pressure sits inside that range.
  • No wet room needed: hair and waste water are collected inside the machine every cycle. Nothing runs across your floor.
  • Floor space: Mini 700×650×1000 mm, 81 kg. Store 780 wide × 1200 deep × 1800 high, 298 kg. Tub 1960×630×1800 mm, 254 kg. Pro 1190×1000×1900 mm, 350 kg.
  • Temperature: the machine works from −10 °C to 55 °C. Both large models have a weatherproof steel cabinet, so either can sit in an open-air run instead of indoors.

What arrives in the crate

  • CE certificates (LVD and EMC) and RoHS. Those are the only marks we hold, and both come with the order for customs, insurers, and property managers.
  • Spec documents for permitting. Councils ask about waste water. It is collected internally, and you get the paperwork that says so.
  • 1-year whole-machine and 5-year core-parts warranty on the motor and water system, plus lifetime maintenance.
  • Nayax payment terminal on every washer, with 80+ channels worldwide. Leave it off for your own animals, or switch it on if you ever open the wash to local owners.
  • Your branding, if you want it. OEM color, logo, panel, and screen language are set at order.
  • Delivery within 25 business days of order confirmation, by sea or by FedEx, DHL, or UPS.

Software updates install remotely over the network, so the machine you buy this year keeps improving without a service visit.

Certified for Export: CE, LVD, EMC & RoHS

You don’t have to worry about compliance. Every machine already meets CE, LVD, EMC, and RoHS standards, and we hand you the documents you need for customs, insurance, or your property manager.

CE certified

CE is the EU’s official conformity mark, and we include the certificates with your order for customs, insurers, and property managers.

LVD tested

LVD stands for the EU Low Voltage Directive, the electrical safety test that CE certification is built on.

EMC tested

It means the machine won’t cause electromagnetic interference with payment terminals or nearby equipment.

RoHS compliant

RoHS compliant means the machine is free of restricted hazardous substances, so it’s safe to import and operate.

Pet Wash for Breeders — FAQ

What breeders ask before adding one.

Is machine washing safe for cats?

It was designed cat-first, with a sealed quiet cabin, 38 °C constant water, a 42 °C hard cutoff, drying at 65 dB or less, and life sensors that unlock the door after 30 seconds. There are no scent sprays at all, because they are toxic to cats. The gentle shampoo still leaves a light fresh scent. We have full-cycle footage of a Ragdoll and a British Blue staying calm; ask and we’ll send it.

How does it handle a full kennel or cattery on schedule?

Back-to-back cycles with 4-minute self-disinfection between animals. A twelve-animal bath day becomes an afternoon of loading and unloading rather than a weekend of wet work.

Does it protect coat quality for shows?

The 7-step program uses gel, shampoo, and conditioner with triple rinsing, and the even, warm airflow avoids the coat-cooking of hot force dryers. Bring your own products — the dosing system takes them.

How does a pet wash machine keep hygiene between litters?

The cabin disinfects with ozone, infrared, and UV-C after every animal, and hair plus waste water are collected internally. Nothing carries from one litter’s bath to the next.

What is the lead time on a pet wash machine order?

Twenty-five business days in production, then sea or courier. If a show season or a litter is driving the date, say so in your first email and we will work back from it.

Is the pet wash machine certified, and which marks does it carry?

CE, covering the Low Voltage Directive and EMC, plus RoHS. Those are the only marks we hold, and we will never claim UL, ETL, FCC, or an IP rating we do not have. Both certificates ship with the order, so customs, your insurer, and your landlord all get the paper they ask for.

Do I have to stand there for the whole wash cycle?

No. The roughly 30-minute wash-and-dry runs on its own while you load the next animal. Millimeter-wave radar and infrared sensors watch for a living body, and unlock the door after 30 seconds without a signal. An NTC sensor cuts power if water or air passes 42 °C. Any abnormal event pushes an alert to your phone. Most breeders still watch through the window, because it is worth watching.

Does pet hair clog it, the way it clogs an open tub drain?

That is the number one failure people report with tub setups, so it was designed out. Hair and waste water are collected inside the machine on every cycle — you empty a catch instead of fishing hair out of a drain. The cabin then runs 4 minutes of ozone or anion, infrared, and UV-C disinfection after every wash, which is what stops odor from building up between litters.

What happens if the pet wash machine breaks and you are on the other side of the world?

A machine down in show week means hand-bathing twelve coats overnight, or a viewing where the litter isn't ready. Our own engineers designed it, so hold your phone to the fault and they'll diagnose it live. Parts ship free, and software problems get patched from our end. Our own wash stores hit the same faults first.
